Aroma is graham crackers and marshmallows, with some grass and metal hops. Flavor is nice upfront molasses-malt with one of the slower segues to a slight grassy hop-bitter finish. Occasional overarching sour-tart flavors are nice, maybe this is the yeast? Palate is soft and medium-bodied. Excellent beer. mlist55 (210), media, Pennsylvania, USA

Tantilizing malt aroma with subdued hop undertones. At first touch to the mouth the beer gets a bit "fresh" with you and then lays off. Translated, that means the hops are at first fairly aggressive and then recede to the understated, Allen (1425), Switzerland

Nice malt in the nose, nuts, burnt wood, fruits, caramel. The flavours are the same. Some earhiness and a slightly sour, salty taste. Wood, rather roasty. Peaches, caramel. The beer turns bitter to the end with a nice hoppy finish. HoPPyToNy (16), USA

Poured much darkre than I had anticipated, deep blood orange, and offering up a significant head. The aroma is quite elaborate, lots of sweet malt and hop notes, fairly strong yeast. The taste is great by pale ale standards (I know, I know..) with oddly roasted malts, good hopping, some citrus sweetness. Sadly, like my other gift pack goods from these guys, there was a metal taste that was less than pleasing. Regardless, good stuff! bboven (103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
