Pours a soft caramel color with an off white head. Malty nose with some citrus fruit. A lot of caramel in taste with more malt and more citrus. This beer is just a touch different from other English bitters in my opinion in it’s particular flavor. Great session beer, and a really great beer for people who really enjoy this style, I’m sure.

I can’t imagine how it was not until now that I rated this. But, here we go. Pours a medium caramel color, with a fluffy, slightly off white head. From the first sip, it’s clear it’s a pretty typical English bitter. Flavor is crisp, with some mild bitterness in the finish. Nothing extraordinary, though it might make for a good session beer.

Pours a gloden amber w/ a decent white head. Small aroma of malt and yeast. Well balanced flavors of carmel and sweet malt w/ a hop slight spice balance. Clean slightly bitter finish. Good stuff.

550ml bottle from Bentalls of Kingston - labelled "Organic Best Ale". Amber with a billowing cream head; rich treacle aroma, slightly spicy; full bodied with a foreceful caramel and malt flavour; some bitterness to finish; warming.

Amber color, quickly disappearing head. Solid bitter, nothing extraordinary - awfully similar to the India Ale, IMHO. Good session beer.

Orange/copper coloring with a beige, foamy head. Very sweet, fruity aroma. Slightly citrusy. Flavor is slightly sour with a balanced finish. There is a noticeable carbonation that’s rather enjoyable.

Pours a nice fall orange color with little to no head. Nose is malty, a little butterscotch. The malts follow through in the mouth with just a touch of bitterness on the finish.

12oz. Mostly sweet malty aroma. Color is clear orange/amber with a head that hangs around. Flavor is pretty tasty, mostly sweet malt with some fruit, sour mash, cereal malt, not much hop to speak of. Pretty decent stuff.
