| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 11, 2009 550 ml bottle purchased at MDL in Overland Park, Kansas. SJ07H1 printer on the neck of the bottle. Pour is clear golden with a few carbonation bubbles and a smallish white head. Aroma of honey, grass and some apricot fruit. Malty, biscuit odor. Taste is the fruit and honey sweetness of the nose, with a nice soft phenol and yeast esters to the finish that is dryish. Palate is medium to light bodied, with a nice mouth scrubbing carbonation. Clean and easy to drink. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Pours golden copper with a small off white head. The aroma is toasted malt with some light diacetyl, dry caramel/toffee and minor biscuit. Medium lightly rough body with some light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with some toasted malt, a bit of corn, some diacetyl, lots of phenolic spice and minor hops. The finish is quite phenolic. Okay beer. Ryan82SM (264), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Caramel malts, cidery yeast and toffee round out the aroma. Rich gold in color with creamy head that didn’t last long, murky body. Flavor of tart apple and cherry, with caramel and toffee as well. Palate is creamy and smooth. Quite good and underrated here, methinks, and I usually don’t enjoy English brews. sound67 (215), Offenbach, Germany
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 23, 2009 355ml dark brown bottle, label as shown. Pours a beautiful clear orange golden, with a small off-white head and some lacing. Typically malty and bread-ish aroma, but milder than some. Low to medium carbonation, medium-bodied, slightly oily mouth feel. Taste is surprisingly citrusy and slightly sweet in the finish, not really a "bitter", more like a golden ale. There’s a note of sweetcorn in it, too. Skunky it ain’t, but neither is it top of the line for the great Samuel Smith brewery. And at €3.50 for a small bottle it is a tad expensive. acearl (218), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Yellow amber hue, diminishing creamy head, smells malty, tastes malty and sweet, although not a mass produced beer has some charateristics of cheap american beer with a little more body, could put down a few KnN (746), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Strange off smell in the nose, super fruity with a bit of maltiness. Flavor is more of the same. Kind of off with some strange sweet notes. Not my favorite beer. patricks110 (285), Alberta, Canada
