Not a favourite of mine in Sam’s impressive portfolio. Antiseptic malty graininess, boiled sweet syrupy nose, some discernible boozy hops.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from some random offie. Standard stuff. Bitter golden. Organic beers generally leave me cold. Just nothing that gives it any character at all.

4months after bbf Nice clear amber look with an ok white head. Strong toffee aroma along with nuts. Fine flavor that brings out a plesant sweet malt blend, some subnotes of tosted bread and a little tar. Ends up in a bitter finish. Very plesant palate, and very drinkable

Bottle. Malts are in the aroma, but it is pretty light. Malt and nutty flavor, and quite bitter. Not necessarily bad, but the back of my throat almost feels raw from the bitterness (I was expecting something a bit more refreshing).

Orange colour, light nose, with lots of fruit in flavour, quite bitter and too bitter for me.

Bottle. Amber pour, thin head. Almonds and malt aroma. Smooth taste with a slight bitter finish. Good session brew, but not very complex.

Light copper orange haze color.. Not much of a head. Malty and nutty characteristics. Mild bitter flavor in the finish. A decent all-around beer. I’d love to have this on tap at a local pub.

55cl Bottle: Slightly sweet, but generally weak aroma. Aroma is dominated by malts with a little caramel. Poured amber in color with no head at all. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Heavily malty, a little fruity and woody. Medium body. Oily texture. Soft carbonation. Finish is malty but a little bitter.
