| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 16, 2006 has some honey maple syrup smell, real subtle..thin line of head..quite nice bitters, perfect carbonation 4 the style, but below average for the brewery...but this beer makes a great black+tan mixture when mixed with a sweet stout.. nimbleprop (936), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Poured a transparent copper with a thin, whispy white head. Aroma of honey, flowers, fruiit and malt. Interesting flavor, sweet and fruity, like pineapples. Malt comes at the finish, which is slightly sour and keeps the mouth watering. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 23, 2006 Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma has nice notes of tropical fruits, some wood, and slight hops. Flavor is similar to aroma. Hints of tropical fruit, slightly bitter, fairly sour when it warms up. and a bit of wood. Palate is light/medium, slightly sour, woody, and oily. danimal34 (41), Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Good beer, but no body, head and the flavor only had hints of fruit, hops, etc. Nothing to hang your hat on. I had the urge to pound it, it was that thin. But, good tasting, therefore the average rating vs. poor. benpickens (138), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 14, 2006 Pours a clear copper with a white frothy head. Clean smelling with hints of green apples. Very mild malt and hops flavor. Is it supposed to be sour tasting? GreatLibations (1447), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Updated: Sep 12, 2007Pours new copper w/ full, semi creamy froth. Superb head retention leaving a full downy canopy of sticky lacework. Aromas of buttery malts and floral hops. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are not so old world on this one. Freshly flavored of bright malt, balanced brisk hops, and slight biscuits. Finish is perfectly bittered and leaves a slight maltiness on the palate. A nice brew indeed. imdownthepub (5172), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Orange brown with slight head. Quite flat for a pasteurised bottle, big caramel, toffee notes on a dry malty base, little hop impact for me. Dry and bitter on the finish, but its all a little underwhelming. Below average. bubbleflubber (898), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Some airy toffee to the nose... Pours virtually headless orange amber into the glass. Light caramels upfront, alongside tart fruity esters. Lots of yeast and bready/doughy notes in the mid-palate, leading to the dry biscuit finish. Not bad for a bitter/ESB, but not extremely complex, the mouthfeel is a little thin, and overall, it’s a little lackluster for me.
