What a disappointment this was. More like a fruity lager than an ale. Lacking in bitterness and palate. Too much fruit flavor and not enough malt and hops. And $3.99 for the bottle!

Pours a nice golden yellow. Aromas of floral and fruit. Flavor toasty malt, hop bitterness with a slight hint of citrus.

(Bottle 55 cl) Fully golden with a small, white head. Flavours are simply great. Extremely fruity and malty with a lovely balancing bitterness. Flavours really stand in line here to leave their mark. 280602

The aroma is very pleasant. It is somewhat spicy and sweet with some malt and hops. It also seems like it has a hint of rum in it as well. The appearance is a hazy orange gold with an average head that lingers. The flavor is malty with a lot of caramel taste and some spiciness and fruit. The palate is a little thin but not too bad. Very enjoyable.

[22 oz. bottle] Pours a nice golden color; nice, fruity aroma. Tastes are somewhat bitter, with a nice malty background. This would be great for a nice session. (points for the organics, too!)

I have seen this infinate times and after having thier stouts, i thought id be well up for some more sam smiths stuff its taken me about 8 months to get round to this fellow. Aroma is hopy and better than expected, having had thier lager already. Taste is also quite well balanced though nothing special. Alround ud could session this fellow without to much problem.

June 29th 2006 Re-rate
Aroma has a fruity yeastiness that is somewhat bready. mildly floral, but mostly fruit accented with things like apple and pear. Body approaches being opaque and is a light translucent amber. The head never gets to be more than a thumb thick and fades rapidly to w ispy white smattering. Fore is fruit and mild honey with some caramel notes. Has a bit of nuttiness in the finish and mild peanut skin bitterness. Very easy drinking and somewhat refreshing. I’ve started a bit colder than it should be and the malt profile is becoming more pronounced as it warms making it more bread-like. I still think it’s a decent beer for what it is.
Original rating was 3.7
Bread, malt and toast with floral notes in the aroma. Cloudy orange/yellow with a thumb thick white head. Somewhat watery fore followed by a lot of malt with fruity and estery flavors...apple, biscuit and again slightly floral. Very smooth sipping brew.
