| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Quite a nice looking pale, dark honeyish with a great bubbly/rocky white head. That goes to leave good lacing.
The aroma is mostly of honey sweet malts, though the tang of the hops is always there..this smells pretty fresh.
Good tasteng ale, honeyish maltiness, always with some slightly citric hoppiness, near the end the hoppiness takes over and it ends with a good bitter aftertaste.
Quie good on the palate, quite tthick for an English brewed pale.
I found this beer very easy to drink, it appeals to me as a summer beer.

Bitter and malty up front. Rounded out with a bit of sweetness. Smooth, malty, enjoyable enough. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2005 You can’t bang all day unless you tear off a piece in the morning. Pours dark straw with aroma of malt/corn flakes, caramel, some honey and fruit. Tastes of caramel malt, with some hops and fruit in the finish. Not bad at all. frankenkitty (1902), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA

Start your day with this deep amber ale with breakfasty aromas of fresh bread, cereal, raisin and honey. Sweet honey and lemon in the flavor, and a well-balanced malt/hop presence. Delicious.
