Hazy golden, no head.
Barnyard, leather dust and dust flavors in the background, fresh herbal hops in the foreground, citrussy aftertaste.
Sparkly mouthfeel, medium body. Quite nice.

Jul 5, 2004 my 1st organic beer poured golden with a off white head. aroma hops, fruit (apple),flora llike a rose caramel and hints of sour. flavor starts sweet, malty, light citrus, caramel ends a tad on the bitter side but not in a bad way. not a bad beer will buy again

Jul 4, 2004 Bready, crisp smell. Very reminiscent of the pale ale. Clean taste and finish. Very subdued flavor with the grain taste coming through the most. slight bitterness.

Jun 26, 2004 Updated: Mar 28, 2005Bottle. Pours a good hearty amber-orange/peach with some light coppers. Good sized white foamy head. Aroma of light hops and plenty of toasted malt and some lightly sweet toffee/caramel. Flavor starts out with a hint of bitter hops, a good dose of light fruit hints (light raspberries and nectarines) and then develops a big sweetness from the malt. It’s that typical sam smiths yeast flavor mixed with toasty toffeeness. A good bitter, but sticks to the palate and gets a bit too malty and boring towards the end. As with most filtered light beers, seems a bit lifeless.
