Slightly hazy bright red colored body topped with a lightly pink colored head. The up front sweet cherry smell is tempered with some malty caramel. There is also a little bit of dried hay. Inviting nose. The taste is bitter with cherry pits and a strong green woody note. There is also a little bit of some old abc gum. This starts out nice enough, but it’s one dimension of fruit just isn’t as pleasurable as some other cherry beers I have tried. Still, it is good to get something different.

Bottle pours deep red with a rusty pink head. As far as fruit ales go, something always scares me about cherry. Start with a decent ale and add good fruit, you’re bound to come up with something drinkable as long as you keep it away from medicinal. Aroma is heavy in cherry, but almost reminiscent of cough syrup. The raspberry was much better. This one quickly becomes cloying.

Bottle from jessup plaza. Poured a dark red color with a light red head. Aroma of sour cherry and some wood. Taste is almost fake cherry with lots of sweetness. Not great but not terrible.

Bottle from Whole Foods, Sacramento, CA. Pours a ruby/cherry red with a large bubbly whiteish head. Aroma of cherry, like opening a can of pie cherries. Near medium body. Mild carbonation. Flavor is a bit like biting into cherry pie. It’s really interesting how the flavor is like tucking into one of those pastries in a package. So it’s sweet and tart all at once, and it’s really interesting. To live in Yorkshire. To drink Yorkshire ales. To die in ecstasy. More because of non-fruit ales, but ya gotta love ale from Yorkshire.

500 ml bottle from GM Liquors; Nose of cherries and a light bit of caramel. Lightly hazy cherry-rust with a big beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet cherries with a hint of tartness and toffee in the background. This should be for Christmas not Fourth of July!

Colour... Mateuse rose red with no head. Nose... VERY cherry and reminiscent of Cheracol-D. Palate... strong burst of tart cherry but not what I was expecting (or should I say, "expectorating"). This is more like those Jolly Rancher sour cherry candies or Sour Patch Waaaaay too sweet for me! It would probably make a nice quiescently frozen confection, however.
