It is hard to believe that I am sticking my nose into a glass of beer and not a flower. I should splash some of this on my girlfriend. A very nice dessert beer that reminds me of New Glarus fruit beers. It is sugary and fruity, tastes a little like high quality cherry soda. Not much sourness, and I wonder why not. This is a pretty floral brew wtih a clean finish. It tastes good mixed with some pale lager too. Another winner from one of my favorite brewers. Ernest (4502), Boulder, Colorado, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy reddish brown with a thin pink head. Aroma of cherry marzipan. Lightish body, very light carbonation. Cherry, toffee and almond flavor with a crisp finish. The finish seems a little medicinal, otherwise this is pretty good and a seriously good GF beer. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2009 Pours a reddish amber color with a pink head. Tart cherry dominates the flavor with some caramel malts. Flavor is almost all cherry juice. I was hoping for something better than this but there’s nothing that blends with the cherry.
