(Rating #2622)

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, not much of a head. Aroma is sweet riped apple as well as mild cardboard and some sugar. Flavour is being quite much the same. Rather sweet, but still semidry palate.

clear pale gold... not quite straw yellow with a thin white head. it smells musty... like beat up apples in a rotting paper bag mixed with cheap white box wine. tastes like a dry gewurztraminer... an economy priced one!... along with cooked apples, musty earth and a dry floral finish. weird... i get a lot of alcohol off of it? thin to medium body. the mouth feel is quite watery and almost unpleasant. 5/3/5/2/13/2.8

Bottle from Party Source. Poured clear pale color with an average white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate aroma of green apple. Light to medium body with a dry texture and lively carbonation. Flavor of sweet apple with a medium sweet finish of short duration. My expectations were met.

Been a while since I posted a cider review, so when I found this one today figured I would give the Belgians a break and return to my roots. Suprisingly sweet for what I was expecting to be much drier. Don’t know, but to me was almost scrumpy like. Pour was pretty flat like most ciders, fairly cloudy but no chunks. Drank fairly easily and 5% ABV was certainly not noticeable. Felt good to get back to a cider. Now on to the Belgians Again!

Bottle I picked up a couple months back at Whole foods for $3.99. I think it was a Friday tasting where all the lines really sucked & I was just looking to take something home besides empty growlers. Flying Dog probably. I hate Flying Dog. Poured into my Sly Fox tumbler. Seltzer-ish pour, a couple quick inches of eggshell head, over a very pale yellow body. Smell is husky, maybe more like new mulch. Euro caramelization, watered down golden delicious, & minerals. Taste is a little better. Unusually tart & soggy apples, grassy skin, too much carbonation, & salt. Still watered down. Drying out, it feels a bit chalky. I taste sulfites too. Not much better then most six pack stuff.
