| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2007 Bottled. Boiled sweet syrupy snout, antiseptic malty graininess. Some discernible grassy hops. Pretty decent lager, but not one of Sam’s best efforts. TheGrandMaster (1877), Auckland, New Zealand

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 16, 2007 Light bodied lager with moderate hop flavour. Not very interesting but quite nice on a hot day. Very clean and dry. Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Nice pour but like most lagers the head vanishes quickly. Pale yellow in color. Good overall structure and definitely a clean taste but I felt it was lacking something. It tastes almost like those beers (Becks, Heineken et al.) that spend their time in green bottles and have some light affect their taste. Decent lager though, just not the best I’ve had from Sam Smiths. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Updated: Apr 6, 2007Pours light golden with a mostly receding white head. Aroma of toasted malt, crackers, bread dough, and light honey. Taste is bready malt and light herbal hoppiness, the classic lager combination. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Easy to drink and quite quaffable, I just wish it had a bit more hop and malt character, it’s a bit too clean tasting!
