Bottle: Pasteurised
A full-bodied lager with lots of malt and hop character. A touch hoppier than many lagers yet perfectly balanced with lots of fruity hop character and fragrance.

(550 ml bottle) Pours a bright yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma bready, slightly sweet, some skunkiness. Spotty, foamy lacing. Pleasant light mouthfeel. Flavor lightly malty, bready, some bitterness in finish. Not bad, a little bland but OK.

I tasted that lager on Christmas Eve. I usually enjoy Samuel Smith, and this one was no exception. It has a lemony taste but overall, not a bad lager.

Bottled at The Champion, London Xmas Pub Crawl. Gold with thin white head. Some acids, some lemon,a bit bland really. Saving grace si the finish which is really quite pleasant, even has some juicy malt/fruit. Best of the 3 Sam Smiths lagers that we had

Bottled at the Champion, Fitzrovia. As lagers go, I thought this was pretty reasonable. Deep gold colour. Not much aroma (it was quite cold). Dry, with some lemony citrus and a decent amount of bitterness. Firm mouthfeel. But, at the end of the day, its just another lager.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautifully golden - some floating impurities though - with a decent head. Very mild and drinkable lager. Malty base and only a subdued bitterness. Sympathetic but perhaps also somewhat anonymous. 081201

Bottled. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow color. Aroma is grainy with some maltiness. A little watery. Well it is better than Bud, but it is nothing exciting. Refreshing enough though.
