But from sam smiths i really expected better. Aroma is harsh to start, then getts a little hoppy but corn has a bit say turning me off. Taste is mainly corn with a bit of grassy hops. Very disapointing. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 26, 2005 Bottle (355ml). Poured clear bubbly gold with a decent fizzy-foamy white lasting head.Aroma’s a bit vegetal and pungent, plenty of yeast, quite grainy (rye), bit of metal in there too. Taste is not bad, I can taste fresh barley and even some faint malt and hops (english type). Mouthfeel is average - not harsh, not really anything you’d remember. For a lager - sorry, a premium lager - it’s slightly above average, I guess. Didn’t really care. FoolishMortal (965), San Diego, California, USA

Mellow grainy aroma, some sulfer and sweetness. Mild fruit flavors with a clean malt character and a tinge of butteriness. Some herbal hops in the finish with residual grain. Mouthfeel is medium, smooth and somewhat crisp. GonZoBeeR (2162), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Deep straw/light golden in color with a large solid white head that lasts well past the half pint mark. Aroma of toasted biscuits and earthy hops. Moderately bitter and hoppy with a touch of malt to balance the edges.Finishes dry with some malty sweetness in between. fluids (364), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2005 Light yellow color with small white head. Malty strong aroma. Caramel sweet malt touches the palate and expands into a fruity hop. Not too complex but nice and easy drinking. wrecktem (37), USA

Leaves grassy aftertaste in mouth. "Organic" does not necessarily make a tastier beer. Reid (1091), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2005 Looks like a regular pale lager when poured into the glass, light golden with a small white head, some laceing as the beer goes down.
Again the aroma is average for a good lager, slight grassy hoppiness and some malts.
It s rather thin in the flavour department but the well done carbonation makes up for it. It is quite a sweet lager with a tang of perfumy /flowery hopiness, I also get a slight hint of pear flavour for some reason.
Overall its quite a nice lager and very drinkable.
