If you like raspberries, it’s pretty good, since that’s about all you can taste. It’s refreshing and tasty, but it’s not really beer. Butters (1654), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Sampled at Lithy’s Septemberfest Tasting. Pours a beautiful clear red, with pink head. Nose of fake tart muted raspberries. Flavor is sweet raspberries that finish tart. Much better than the strawberry. Like lindemans. douglas88 (1679), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2009 550 ml bottle from the Utah State Store. Pours a bright red color with a large pinkish head and some nice lacing. The aroma is very nice; loads of sweet and tart berries, some sugary notes as well. The flavor is very nice; smooth and creamy, lots of tart raspberries and sweetness, like berry juice and quite natural. Has a fizzy tart feeling on the palate in the finish that is quite nice. Easy to drink and refreshing. Very nice. phaleslu (575), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Updated: Sep 9, 2009Bottle from The Party Source. Pours cloudy purple with off white/pinkish head. Aroma of raspberry, sweet and a little tart. The flavor follows suit. Could use more body, as the palate is pretty thin. Finishes a lot like it starts, albeit with a little more tartness. For Sam Smith, I’d rank this one between the strawberry and cherry versions. GandGKevin (196), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

sweet raspberry syrup aroma, with a bit of pine resin and malt underneath.
hits the tongue very sweet, stays fruity, but ends slightly more balanced and leaves a long dry raspberry finish.
medium body, a bit undercarbonated, almost cloying, but not quite. SSSteve (2105), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 20, 2009 hazy deep purple with a large frothy light pink head. very similar appearance to the cherry. amazing raspberry and flower aroma with a distinct spicy herbalness. a floral, caramel, raspberry flavor with toasted malt finish. some hints of milk chocolate too. there something hugely appealing about this beer. I can’t quite nail it down though. the caramel flavors mid palate?, milk chocolate?, the sweetness?, the flowery hints in the finish? everything perfectly infused with lush ripe raspberries. i never thought a fruit beer could be this good. wow! I’m a fan.
