lively aroma of ripe, tart raspberry. very inviting. the flavor was not quite as assertive, but pleasing nonetheless. a tad thin on the palate, but a highly drinkable, slightly tart, and nicely fruity ale. well done.

0.55l - Reddish-pink pour, raspberry jam nose, maybe some mint hiding in there. Raspberry cough syrup palate, watery texture. Good not great. Would benefit from some sourness.

Bottle pours a clear reddish brown color with just a wisp of head around the rim of the glass. Taste has a lot of pucker to it, ending in a dry medicinal mineral finish. Aroma is raspberry yes, but all the while tinged with that mineral undertone.

Bottle: Went to Ked and Bottle and bought a bunch of smaller bottles, the 22 Oz are too much to get a good daily sample. I got 3 Fruit Beers from Samuel Smiths. The Raspberry is very aromatic has a good balance, not too sweet could use some tartness. Drank in San Diego.

Color is a bright ruby with good carbonation and a small pink head. Aroma is tart with the scent of raspberries. Taste is smooth and tart. Starting with a lighter medium body it has a smooth feel. Finish comes in sweet with an easy malt flavor that quickly gives way to a tart raspberry taste. After taste is dry with a hint of bitterness showing. Very well done fruit flavored ale but there cherry is better.

This is a real take it or leave it kind of deal for me. Raspberry all over the place here. Not enough ale to balance, overall enjoyable but nothing shines through the sweetness. 90% wine cooler, 10% ale. Thank You samuel smith. 2009 16 oz.

Pours a deep red into an english pint. Frothy pink head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Raspberry puree aromas. Strong sweet raspberry from front to back turning to a slightly seedy and stale sour finish.
