As far as fruit ales go, not too shabby. Start with a decent ale and add good fruit, you’re bound to come up with something drinkable. Aroma is heavy in raspberries, similar to the nose on a decent lambic. Easy drinking for those who like fruit in their beer. Only complaint is they tend to become extremely cloying, the more you drink. Rynoplasty (515), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Sampled in a bottle. Pours dark red and very acidic. Overall not to bad. I judge fruit beers based on drinkability and flavor quality. The flavor is really good but the drinkability is a little rough afterwards. Overall, not too bad, but only one for this brew. kkearn (1002), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Bottle, from Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Pours ruby amber, capped with a modest sized pink head. Sweet-tart raspberry candy aroma up front, with some caramel and yeast in the background. Flavor initially exhibits a nice natural raspberry flavor that is nicely balanced with citrus and caramel, unfortunately it becomes far too sweet and nearly cloying towards the finish. Sweet-tart raspberry lingers on the palate. Medium bodied and very drinkable; this had a lot of potential but wound up too sweet for my palate. grandet (481), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is lots of raspberry. Smells like a lindemans. Taste is similar with lots of raspberry notes and alittle sweetness on the back side. ehh cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Big brown odd shaped bottle. Lucious raspberry fruity aroma. Smells like many real lambics I’ve sampled. Cloudy dark looking beer with an alabaster pink head. Delicious raspberry taste amoung other ale attributes, fairly nice! For over 5%, hides the alky content very well. Enjoyable, perhaps a very nice holiday beer. Could drink this stuff all day. Fruity and friendly, a character that is lacking in most fruit beers which lack real fruit character. There is this slight hint of bitterness in the background that keeps you alert to the fact that it is an ale. Good tingle carbonation on the palate. Finish is quite good except for that average bitter ale bite building on the center of the tongue. Not bad overall and I found this to be a beer worth it’s $! Clear raspberry red with a moderate pinkish head. Flavor is raspberry with a mild tartness, not as sweet as their strawberry. aletales (73), , Oklahoma, USA
