i don’t want to know how my friend knows this, but this beer smells like an "11 year old’s lip gloss". admittedly it was a natural strawberry aroma, but one you could smell from across the room once it was poured. holy cow. the color was a little reminiscant of a wine cooler with a thin-medium body and a strong strawberry and malt flavor, and little else. not as dynamic or complex as the raspberry or cherry. also not something i’d turn down on a hot day, but not something i’ll buy again at $5.99 either. well crafted, just not my thing.

Astonishing strawberry aroma - sour, sweet, and floral with a touch of cheese and honey. Orange-red pour and a lovely old time label. The strong berry flavor leaves no doubt that this is a fruit beer. It is a little candy-like and very summery, and would make an excellent dessert beer. I am still scratching my head over why this and other fine fruit beers get low ratings. Maybe most Ratebeerians are biased toward heavy, hoppy beers. Yet some of them, like New Glarus’s, score pretty high. For my money, this stuff is every bit as good, and organic too.

1pt bottle at Old Chicago. Seen it at Beer Crazy and mistakenly ordered on this occasion as I wasn’t planning on spending that much on my drink. Most notable was it tasted more like strawberry soda than beer, but that may be my inexperienced taste

Pours a pinkish-red with a small white head. You get a deep aroma of strawberries. The taste is pure strawberry, a bit too much strawberry for me. If your a strawberry lover than this one is definitely the beer for you.

Pours a clear, slightly reddish golden amber with a fairly thick but not persistent pale yellow-orange head. Aroma is strong, but the strawberry scent overwhelms it. I love strawberries, but I still prefer beer that smells like beer. Flavor, however, is fairly malty with a strong fruity overtone of strawberry and hints of banana. Texture is fairly smooth and tingly. OK if you like strawberries.

Pours a reddish color with a small white head. Aroma smells of strawberry jam, a little red apple and some caramel malt. Flavor is sweet and has a lot of strawberry jam flavors up front followed by a hint of malt and light bitterness. Interesting, but not all that great.

Bottle: I´m surprised about the low ratings of Fruit Beers, my guess is that people compare them to all beers instead of those within it’s style. The beer is full of fresh picked strawberries, taste is sweet and well balanced with malty notes. Refreshing, nice, good job!

Nose of strawberries and yeast. Pours a clover honey amber sparkling. The mostly lasting off white creamy head is frothy and leaves minimal lace. The brew has a sweet front, highly acidic middle and a tart finish - much like sweet tarts candy. The light body is lively with a cloying metallic finish.
