Aroma was almost nonexistant. What little taste there was somewhat sweet with just a hint of malt. Boring, average beer at a premium beer price. Skip it. cazort (417), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 21, 2008 A bit of a boring beer. Not very hoppy, and although there is some malt flavor, the malt is not particularly interesting or complex. While it had no objectionable qualities, and is perfectly drinkable, and while I would prefer it to many of the European import macro-lagers, it wasn’t at all remarkable. Sweet/ malty flavor. Some bready/ grainy malts with a hay/ herbal finish and medium dryness. Medium to light palate. Refreshing but could do with some dryness. Aroma is slightly skunky with some sulphurous notes and a bitter herbal touch. OK, drinkable helles/ pale lager. Swalden28 (1509), McKinney, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Pale golden color with a short, white head that diminishes. Aroma is moderately malty (fresh grain, grass and a hint of corn) and lightly hoppy (floral). The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. Medium body, smooth texture, lively carbonation. Fairly long finish. Goes down smoothly and easily. Nice. kidmartinek (981), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Pours on the boder line between clear and cloudy. Color is a pure golden. Head is 1.5 inches and lasts a while. Aroma is of light malt and apple. It’s one of the best tasting lagers I’ve had, even if it does taste like cider on the finish. And, staying true to the $tyle of an American lager, even though this one is british, do I detect a hint of corn?. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 13, 2008 This is another nice lager with a full, malty body and nice hop qualities. It is deep gold with a fairly big, permanent white head that leaves a little lace. The aroma is lightly toasted malty grain, crackers, sweet, flowery hops, with hitns of pine and sulphur. The taste is full-bodied grain through to the finish, with hop herb and grass flavour that starts with light bitterness, but after a few sips evolves into a nice, tingly herbal bitterness that smoothly blends with the malt body.
