It was a bit watery on the flavor, but there was enough that it was satisfying. Aroma was weak and a bit soapy, but mostly the sweet flavor was apparent. Great pour, nice lacing and foamy head. I would drink again, but more for the refreshing quality than flavor. cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 4, 2008 From a bottle at the 3 Sons. Not much on the aroma. Mostly just a clean olfactory. Clear yellow lager look with a thin tea froth head. Carbonation is present but much less than I’m used to in a preimie. A little more pilsner than I care for but it’s very well mannered. Not over the top. Overall not a bad session brew but could have a few more lessons in lager etiiquette. Was expecting more after sampling the quality of the oatmeal stout. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 26, 2007 55cl bottle. Pours clear see through yellow with a fine lasting egg white head. Aroma is of hay/grain/grass - in a good & fresh way. Body is slight watery . carbonation is a bit flat. A typical premium lager but without a nasty metallic edge & such. Very drinkable for its style. msiano (30), Belmar, New Jersey, USA

Hmm what can i say about this one. well i agree with the last post , the aroma is skunky.. There was a nice gold color with a 1/2" tan head when poured into a glass . Overall taste was not bad at all. RSRIZZO (1367), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Aroma is skunky which seems odd being in a brown bottle. Color is bright gold with fair carbonation and a very loose head that started tall but dissipated quickly. Taste is thin. Starting with a light body it goes down crisp. Finish comes in with a corn like malt flavor and a faint skunk, then an European yeast taste. The after taste has a very mellow bitterness that leaves it with a slightly dry feel. Its ok but the skunk taste pulls to much and amplifies the European yeast flavors. Not a beer I would get again but its not all that bad. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2007 When I first saw this one I scratched my head and wondered WTH? Sam Smith .... lager ... didn’t see the point, really. Why would a traditional ale producer from Yorkshire make a lager? This one was actually not too bad, light grassy hop aroma, some light malt. Easily their worst beer, but probably my wife will like it. naplesbeerfan (17), Naples, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Very nice golden color with a mild head. I was expecting great flavor, but was disappointed with the generic taste. Aroma was less than desirable. Wouldn’t purchase or drink again. rob897 (62), Buffalo, New York, USA
