This is certainly a premium lager. 12 oz bottle split with my bf Pwn3d. This pure brewed lager is a flavourful lager, with only the purest ingredients: malted barley, hops, yeast, and water. Dammmmn....sluts!

clear light gold with a small fluffy white head. honey, lemon and grain aroma with just a hint of apples. has a nice light crisp body with the signature creaminess that is on all samuel smiths. very clean flavor of malt with a light bitterness and floral earthiness. very satisfying, amazing beer for a lager

pours very clear and straw looking with a small white head. smell is lightly like a hey barn on fir island, with a little bit of a baked bread smell in there too. taste is smooth, light carbonation, grassy, with a slight malt way in the background. an all right brew, better than most lagers.

bottle - Pours clear yellow/gold with a big, fluffy white head. It has a light malt aroma. The flavor is mild malt with a little hops in there for balance. It’s not a lot of hops, but it’s more than most pale lagers I’ve had, which is a good thing. This beer is light bodied and very easy to drink with a slightly off tasting, mildly bitter finish. It’s somehow better than their organic lager, but still thoroughly unimpressive.

This has a very light aroma and good head. Perfect amount of carbination with no bitter aftertaste - overall it was easy to drink.

I think the bottle I had was well past it’s prime, and the unfortunate thing about SS beers is that due to the clear glass, the term "light struck" is often associated with this beer. It still wasn’t a bad drop of beer, but I could see how it would clearly be better. Aroma was very mild, lightly sweet and not much else. Appearance was gold in color, clear with a soft white head (classic lager look). Mouthfeel was really nice, like a soft blanket being pulled over the tongue. Flavors were really soft, with a bit of malt sweetness and little else. A clean finish, I didn’t notice the usual "crisp" finish and thought it might have something to do with the yeast. A nice session beer for sure.

Very nice appearance but the aroma smells like dirty laundry and the flavor does taste like hay just as advertised. Their worst beer.

Bottle. Clear golden color. Pretty good head. Very good malt flavor with proper carbonation. I was surprised at how much I liked this English lager.
