| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2009 Poured from a chilled 500ml bottle into a chilled half pint Samuel Smith lager glass.
Appearance: Golden body with a massive fluffy head. Heavily carbonated.
Aroma: Clear grassy hops on the nose. Slightly floral, with a lemony kick.
Taste: Clean and refreshing hops. Bitter graininess on the palete, with a heavier maltiness in the middle.
Mouthfeel: Light, and crisp. Very lively. Smoother than most
lagers.
Drinkability: Superb! Proof that lager doesn’t have to taste like abrasive fizzy water. There is no hint of the horrendous metallic taste that affects the vast majority "Euro lagers". This is a lager that should be on tap at all pubs instead of the generic macro crap that seem to dominate. Ober (1198), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 29, 2009 This is a great lager. Aroma was the weakest point but it was more unexpected than poor. Good, clean taste throughout, as should be in any lager. Excellent part of Samuel Smith’s line of beers. mike67 (78), , New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 28, 2009 500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a small short lived white head and nice carbonation. Aroma of apple, honey, yeast. Not much hops in the nose for the style. Light body with herbal hops dominating the flavor with some citrus and sweet malt in the background. Finish is short and dry. Brits should stay with ales.
