| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 14, 2006 Clear golden color with weak off white head. Aroma of bread, malts and some solid hopiness. Very nice taste of pale or Munich style malts with an adequate helping of hop bitterness around the tongue. Tasty beer for the style. LyndaNova (497), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2006 Bottle 46F Lager Glass. Very light aroma slight sweet malts, with very little hoppiness. Light Golden color with small white head that fades moderately. Good crisp taste with nice moderate hops, decent bite, more flavor than the aroma indicated. Nice full mouthfee; to follow the nice big taste. A good tasting lager definately. Full palate with medium carbonation quite nice really. Really enjoyed the English Lager, very well done and quite refreshing. DruncanVeasey (2753), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Updated: Sep 7, 2006Listening to Sam’s beers glug from the (pint) bottle is pure music. After that, surely this beer can only disappoint? Not a bit of it. Aroma slightly skunky and vegetable-like, but mightily hoppy for a lager. Fresh-bread yeastiness predominates, with just the right amount of balancing hop bitterness. As crisp and appetising as a high-quality German Pilsener. And a dazzlingly clear gold body to boot. Superior lager. Suttree (2739), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 3, 2006 Dark gold, thick white head. Vaguely vegital aroma. Flavor is, um, there? Clean and faint, but not very descernable. Fin (3448), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 2, 2006 Had this at my dads last night though have had this countless times before and not yet rated. Pours a golden yellow with a large white frothy head, this beer has a wonderful label and looks quality and yet I think it flatters to deceive and in fact is only slighly better than average in the decent lager stakes, has all the usual chracteristics and no real stand out points. If it was getting a school report it would be fine, could do better DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Huge frothy, pillowy, coarse (but rapidly disappearing) white head. Nice bread-like, yeasty aroma with undertones of grain and malt. Crystal clear golden color. A fairly typical flavor profile: malt, grain, hops. Some very slight yeast. A tiny bit watery in terms of mouthfeel. Not bad, easy to drink many of these. Good, but not exactly anything special.
