| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Draught - Some pub near Tralfagar Square London. A straw coloured lager with a white head and lacing. The aroma is slightly grassy hops with a little malt but also an icy nose. The taste is well balanced with a decent hop/malt balance for an English brewed lager. Drinkable. WisconsinBeer (521), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 12, 2006 So the question is - is this beer well rated because it is a known brand or because the beer itself is good? I thought this beer was boring, with nothing really standing out above and beyond the usual macroswill lager. I like the other Sam Smith beers, but this didnt really do anything for me. mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA

Had a yeasty, malty, aroma with some spice.Clean finish with no bad aftertaste. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Poured from the bottle to a golden yellow, with thick, snow white head, and good lacing. Both bottles I had have foamed out the top upon opening, so I’m not sure if it is the beer or handling. Aroma is fruity, mostly lemons, with a hint of floral hops. Flavor is harder to pinpoint, althogh it is tasty and mold, with a smooth fiinish. Although not as highly touted as some of its Samuel Smith relatives, it is one of my favorites from that brewer so far. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Perfect;y clear dark yellow pour. Minimal head, even if poured roughly. Wheaty bitter scent, light on the tongue, with a little tart bite on the top of the tongue. Generally quite pleasant, but nothing extrodinary with the overall flavor. Full mouthfuls pick up a detectable yeasty and slight bitter. Extremely lightly matled, with some grassyaftertaste. (Bottle pour 6/12/2006) fishean (12), Palmdale, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2006 Golden colour with a white head. Sweet malt and hop aroma. Taste quite sweet too and a good bitter finish. I followed this with a Brahma, which is much less good.
