Taste is pretty sweet with notes of graininess, grass, lemon and floral hops. Great malt backbone. Moderately bitter finish. Medium body with subtle carbonation. Nice head retention and lacing on the glass. Solid stuff. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 26, 2004 Pours pale yellow with nice white head that diminishes fast and leaves very little lacing. Nice floral note to the nose with some wheatgrass. Same in the flavor, not at all complex but very drinkable, with a nice mildly bitter finish and wheat/straw flavor that hangs around for a while. Good stuff overall. zach8270 (2129), Henrietta, New York, USA

Nice balanced aroma of sweet malts, floral hops and I possibly detected some apple notes. Smooth and balanced taste. The hops and malt mix well with each other and leave a pleasantly sweet aftertaste. Very nice and smooth. mrfosters (17), New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2004 Nicely balanced malt and hops. The only complaint was a quickly dissapating head.Slight grassy aroma and flavor and very nice carbonation.I did a side by siide with their organic lager ( which I had high hopes for) and this one is much tastier , chemicals and all . Oh well. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2004 18.7 oz bottle. A pretty tasty beer for a "premium lager" which has connotations of adjuncts and macro mass production. Also, drinking it out of the unorthodox 18.7 oz bottle makes you look turn of the century and tough, like a cowboy lighting his fire Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

This is a fairly thick lager with sweet, doughy malt flavors and a nicely balancing touch of a citric hop flavor. Has a bit of a sweet finish.

Sweet malt and grain aroma with some pleasant hay-like smells also. Sweet, clean, full bodied flavor with a crisp and mild bitter finish. A decent British rendition of a German lager.
