Golden coloured. A not very interesting lager. Rather thin, sweet and boring.

Floral, honeyish aroma. taste is cookies malts, herbal hops. Dry, bitter aftertaste. Good, but not worth Merchant du Vin's inflated price.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. Fresh and full tasting Lager. Hazy yellow, big white head and sweet, icing aroma. Bitter hops in the mouth, and a spring water feel. Does all the good things a Lager should, only let down by a very slight lack of finish.

Golden with a pillow of white foam. Aromas are biscuity, malty and grainy - quite delicate but pleasant. Flavours are a mix of hops - some bitterness, somewhat floral with a long dry finish. Some metallic elements are present. As standard lagers go its one of the best.

Nice golden colour with good fluffy head and decent lacing. Malty aroma - half-cooked spaghetti, toast and toffee. This beer kind of messed me up because initially I thought it definitely smelled like they were using continental Pils malt, but later I decided it was probably English malt. I think it’s English malt... dammit I don’t really know and it’s killing me. Some mild German hops in the aroma - probably Hallertau. Nice initial malt flavour but it really drops away mid-palate and gets kinda watery. Bitterness is a touch harsh and then there’s a weird numbing, menthol-like character with a bit of astringency too which was weird. Not that great.

I could really get smashed on this stuff if it was only cheaper. The best lager I’ve tried so far.

Golden color with a white head. The taste is mild and malty with slight earthy notes. Light hoppy palate.
