Large bottle. Pours a fantastically deep brown, verging on black with a light tan head. It is very dark yet still somewhat clear. The aromas are sweet, there are lots of malt with some chocolate and some roasted notes. The flavor is overall on the sweet side, with lots of dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee. The only criticism of this brew might be that it is a little thin, but the flavors are very smooth and very strong and overall I think it is a great beer.

Aroma of sweet malt, chocolate and a littlle roast barley. Pours dark brown, almost black with a two finger sandy-brown head. Flavor is chocolate, light coffee, roast barley and a hint of cocoa bitterness at the end. Slight aftertaste of warm milk chocolate. Very nice.

500 ml bottle poured a dark brown with a thick creamy head. Tangy sweet flavor. Went down extremely smooth and was very easy to drink. I liked it.

500 ml bottle poured into a pint glass. Darkest brown in color with a creamy tan head. Aromas of licorice, smoked malt, and black coffee. Flavor is dark fruity with prune and grape, dark chocolate overtones, light smoke, and roasted malts. A little watery, easy to drink.

A very deep almost black porter with a nice very dark ruby tint when held up to the light. There is a somewhat loose but very big tan head on the top. I normally don’t mention it but for whatever it’s worth this has one of my all time favorite beer labels. Aroma has a nice chocolate, roasty, and raisin character with sort of an odd chemical thing going on in the back ground. The flavor is wonderful packed with coca some mild coffee, a deep roastiness almost to the point of burnt and more featuring more bitterness than usually profiled in this style. Classic but different. Very good.

Moderate malty aroma. Large, creamy, off-white head. Excellent lacing. Mostly lasting longevity. Dark brown body. Light sweet flavor. Medium palate.
