Nice roast malt aroma from the glass. While still very dark, the porter was mare a very dark amber than black. Poured with a nice tan coloured head, which held right down the glass. Not as smooth as the stronger Samuel Smith Imperial Stout, the Taddy porter has a roasy coffee flavour followed by a dryness across the palate. The malt flavors dominate this beer

Amber pour with large head. Flavor or malts, fruits, and especially chocolate. Full body yet smooth going down. Good stuff.

A dark amber pour with a substantial head. The flavor is is of malt, fruit, and chocolate. The beer is full bodied. it’s pretty basic, but very good. No gimmicks.

Fruity aroma, with chocolate and root beer. Black with a huge tan head. Very well balanced flavor of chocolate, roasted malts, sassafras, a touch of dried fruits and caramel. Nice, thick body. Somewhat plain, but excellently balanced and no faults. Great drink.

Aroma of strong malt and coffee. A very good porter. Deep and roasted, chocolatey. A little bitterness. Full bodied brew.

This pours a very very dark brown with a ligh tan head. Aroma is really roasted malts and a bit nutty. Flavor is nice and roasted but not burnt, also hints of sweet chocolate and silky smooth. This is right up there with Edmund Fitzgerald.

My favorite from Samuel Smith I believe. Excellent flavor for a porter. Dark brown amber color with decent tan head. Dark fruits and chocolate aroma. A little tinge of caramel in the initial flavor. A great drink for the winter months.
