This is a solid porter. No frills, nothing quite memorable either, however. Looks good, smelt good, tasted good, but also missed out on providing me with a good aftertaste. Actually, there were no lingering effects of the beer.

Nose comes off as a classic british ale. Its is deep dark with a off white head. There is a noticable smokiness to this one and a certain chewiness that is hard to describe. the smokiness hangs around till the end to make this one a classic

Actually, a strangely tasteless beer. Aroma and taste understated. Very easy to drink for a porter, just not a lot to think about. Light coffee, chocolate, a little sweet, a little bitter, small fiz, flavor just fades away. Don’t really need to have again.

550 ml. bottle, pours a mocha colored head, no lacing, nice blackish brown color, nose with bits of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, similar flavors, not much hop, well balanced. A slab of beef would go nicely.
