A nice floral aroma with the warm malts detectable as well. A nice vanilla/caramel flavor, warm, well-balanced, with a nice lingering sweet/bitter combo. A slightly creamy mouthfeel rounds out the experience. Pleasant beer.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2009 I can remember this being one of the springboard beers that led me down a path of broken bottles and liver abuse. Cheers for that I guess, anyway, fairly heavy toffee notes with some UK hop notes, flavor has some hints of the aforementioned toffee and some mineral notes but mostly just watery. markas101 (566), Fargo, North Dakota, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Bottled @ Cardinal. Pours deep golden with no head at all. Aroma of sweet pale malts and hops. Taste is good balanced, pleasant bitterness, but some strange pine, or citrus spoils the experience.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Just off blonde ale, decent white foamy head. Taste is malty and sweet, with a rustic farmhouse like background that is unusual, but not unpleasant. Finishes quite sweet with slight alcohol. Decent, if unremarkable.
