Boutip (1745), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Feb 2, 2007 Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention. Aroma of scotch and malt with some very very light smoke. Taste of light scotch malt with almost no smoke. The body is way too watery for the style with some low carbonation. I was expecting worst considering the brewer but by no mean is this a bad beer. Cartoon_khaki (1110), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Nov 22, 2006 Light golden body. Small amount of off white head. Light smoke aroma mixed with malts. Favour was a weak smoke with mild bitters. presario (2392), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 4, 2006 Poperinge brough this back from Quebec. Light head. Light copper colour. Funky light salt nose. Funky, lost mixed up flavour; light caramel and salty. Radek Kliber (3284), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 20, 2006 Botlle.Clear pale amber with visible carbonation, medium fine creamy head. Sweet aroma of caramel, yeasty-rye and aromatic hops. Medium bodied with dry carbonation up front, bitter medium and light smoky end. Clean ale with good bitter sweet character. Quiet drinkable. Would have again if given. radiomgb (1730), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2006 Golden amber in colour, thin beige coloured head, some light spotty lacing. The aroma is yeasty, some must, light smoke but you have to search for it. The flavour is sweet, some cookie malts, very light smoke, some lemon citrus. Chalky mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes fairly quick, lightly bitter. Not much of a smoked beer.
