Jul 26, 2009 On tap. Clear amber golden with a creamy off-white head leaving a pretty lacework. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel, good and solid maltiness with caramel accents. The finish is dry and lightly hoppy. 070709

Jul 24, 2009 From tap at the brewpub. Pours slight cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma is light fruity and mild caramlish. Malty and caramelish flavoured. Light sweet flavoured into the far finish. Nice and smooth.

Jun 5, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a thick, dirty tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves lots of lacing. Faint aroma and taste of bready caramels, citrus and melons, toasted toffees, and a light bitterness. Finishes dry with more of a sweet melony, soft bitter linger. Light bodied and smooth. Overall, not a bad beer, but fairly unexciting.

Pours copper/amber, light off white head.
Aroma / taste, hoppy, light malts, light bitter floral finish, mid roasted notes of malts, followed by the hops, fruity notes with some mango-apricot.

Jan 24, 2009 (11/5/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in San Diego. Hazy deep amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, some caramel, light hoppy hints and a bit of fruity notes. Sweetish malty flavor with toastiness, bread, caramel and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

Nov 28, 2008 Tap at SDBC. Amber coloured beer. Aroma is mostly of light pale malts. No real character malts apparent in spite of the deep colour. Flaovur is quite bland with just a kiss of earthy bitterness. Meh... quite uninspired.

Aug 29, 2008 Updated: Sep 16, 2008Rerate; same score. Review as follows....Sample at the brewpub; amber in color with a khaki colored head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, and buttery biscuits. Flavor was similar; a pretty decent hopping in the finish (for the style). All in all, it stood out a bit from others in the style.
