This beer pours a clear orange-brown color with a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Faintly sweet malt and fruit aroma. Medium-bodied with bready malt and fruit flavors plus a hint of hops. The finish is mildly malty with notes of caramel and hops left over. Not bad, just not impressive on any front. bluemeow76 (693), Lewis Center, Ohio, USA

~Very light malt scent, can’t get much else.
~Taste is also hard to get, maybe some nuttiness and some sweet maltiness.
~Feels dry. Has a quick finish.
~It’s ok. Not getting much from it. Pretty boring beer. doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2008 On-tap. Pours amber with a thinnish off-white head, spider web lace. Smells caramelly malty sweet and slightly hoppy earthy. Tastes malty, more so than hoppy. The malts are slightly crisp and slightly caramelly, hops are earthy and pretty subdued, only slightly bitter on the finish. Once again, where’s the hops. Medium body, subdued carbonation. Low bitterness. Some toast, slightly spicy hop. Quick and easy. Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Draught at brewpub. Clear amber color, leaving lacing in even rings. Bland nose like the other house beers, partly faulted by tiny taster glasses but still...flavors are mainly nutty and lightly hopped. Soft mouthfeel. Bland and uninspired. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 24, 2008 tap at the brewpub - The aroma of this amber ale is surprisingly hoppy. The flavor adds caramel malt and moderate hops intensity, which is high for an amber. For me it works well. This medium bodied beer is better than the rating here suggests. jcwattsrugger (5443), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
