Jan 13, 2008 On tap @ San Diego Brewing brewpub. Pours a clear deep copper that is more amber in a wider glass with off white head. The mild aroma has some roastiness and a hint of bread. The taste begins somewhat with roasty malts and a hint of malt astringency. Midway the mild caramelized malts give way to smooth and understated pine hop bitterness complimenting the style. It ends with mild roasty malts that stretch into the after taste.

Dec 29, 2007 On tap at SDB. Truly an amber pour with an off white head. No nose to speak of. Rich malt with a hop profile that is over the top for an amber. Very soldi palate for the style. Lingering bitter and good malt balance make this beer a very pleasant surprise.

Jun 28, 2007 Apparently this is their most popular ale. This one had a mild caramel nose. Poured amber with a small beig head. Flavor was medium sweet caramel malt, earth, wood. It was relatively light. Finishes crisp.

Sep 28, 2006 Tap, San Diego Brewing. Pours a brownish amber color. Roasted caramel with a touch of hoppy bitterness. The finish is bitter and has some grapefruit peel qualities going on.
