Pours a clear deep copper that is more amber in a wider glass with off white head. The mild aroma has some roastiness and a hint of bread. The taste begins somewhat with roasty malts and a hint of malt astringency. Midway the mild caramelized malts give way to smooth and understated pine hop bitterness complimenting the style. It ends with mild roasty malts that stretch into the after taste. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA

Rich malt with a hop profile that is over the top for an amber. Very soldi palate for the style. Lingering bitter and good malt balance make this beer a very pleasant surprise. badlizard (2386), Berkeley, California, USA
