Commercial Description:
With more substance and roast than our Nut Brown, this creamy porter is nitro-poured and has nice hints of coffee and dark chocolate. This ale is smooooooth and so very drinkable!

Nitro tap at brewery. Pours dark brown with a big, creamy, light brown head, sheet lace. Smells subdued malty. Tastes awesome, chocolatey, dark malty, but the sweet chocolate flavors linger very nicely. Solid medium body, smooth as silk carbonation. Best chocolate beer that I’ve ever had

Hazy dark brown. Coffee bean and spoiled milk, crap vanilla. Like a gas station coffee drink. Palate is all about chocolate syrup grossness. I don’t like Nestle Quick. Thin body. Fades into cloying nothingness. A bad idea, executed poorly.

Tap @ brewpub. Cola-colored brown. Aroma of cake and processed coffee drinks like Starbucks frappe. Tastes like vanilla flavoring or extract. Malt is lost, got hardly any roastiness or robustness. Shocked at the otherwise high ratings.

Rating #100 On tap at the new Liars’ Club. Pours a deep clear brown with a nice creamy lasting tan head. Nice lacing. Aromas of roasty malts, chocolate, coffee(mocha). Flavors of the same. Very smooth and creamy beer. Of all the SD Brewing Co. beers I’ve had, this is by far the best.

Had on nitro draft at Sd Brew. Co. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy tan head, great retention. The nose is very full of rich chocolate malts and fresh coffee beans. The mouthfeel is fullbodied and the taste is that of decadent chocolate infused with roasted malts. The finish was very smooth and quite delicious. Thanks for your time and info. on your fantastic beer Dean, again GREAT JOB!

Tap at SDBC. Dark creamy nitro appearance. Super strong on the chocolate. Quite sweet and chocolaty character. Very much like a candy bar. A must for chocolate lovers.

On draft at SD BrewCo. Dark brown and almost completely opaque (save for deep garnet highlights) and a moderate sized creamy beige head. Aroma of nice roasty malts, bakers chocolate and espresso beans. Flavor is roasty, bitter and sweet with coffee, milk chocolate and bakers chocolate, light cream and floral hops. Full body with a oily and somewhat still mouthfeel. Nice one Dean!
