Commercial Description:
Grantville (as this area was once known) Gold is one of our lighter house beers, but by no means a light beer. This pale gold beer is crisp and refreshing with a clean hop finish and is a great beer for newcomers to craft-brewed beers.

On-tap at the brew-pub. Pours golden orange with a crisp white head, some lace. Smells crisp and malty, slightly honey sweet. Tastes crisp up front and then smooth and sweet on the finish, very nice. Medium body, a little sweet, smooth, syrupy feel to it, good carbonation.

Light straw. Faint nose with a touch of straw. Minerally, husky with an off-dry finish.

Draught at brewpub. Pale golden color. Bland dried grassy aroma. Some fresh grain hidden inside a sweetish beer that is a little fizzy. Not bad but in no way memorable.

The aroma was thin with hints of light malts and saaz hops? The beer poured a hazy golden copper color with no head or lace. The flavor was thin with hints of hops and caramel. The mouthfeel was light bodied with great carbonation.

on tap-pours a thin white head and yellow color. Aroma is musty light malt/grain-some sweetness. Taste is musty light malt/grain-some sweetness, secondary continental hops (maybe some Chinook), English yeast?

On tap @ San Diego Brewing brewpub. Pours clear gold with thin white head. The aroma is mild with malty sweetness, grains and a hint of hop spice. The taste is malty sweet mixed with a nice Munich like grainy maltiness and a pulse of spice hops. Nice session brew with plenty of flavor for the style.

A deep gold pour with a lite foamy head. Hints of corn is all I got on the nose. Decent malt, pretty dry light bitter finish. A bit over the top on the carbonation not fizzy but foamy. Not much on the nose but malty and drinkable. Seems like it would be a refreshing drinker.
