Commercial Description:
This IPA (India Pale Ale) is by far our hoppiest brew. At 8.3% alcohol, this triple dry-hopped ale is full bodied and has an aggressive hop flavor with distinct citrus undertones. This beer is perfect for all you hop heads out there! (You know who you are!) <br />Winner of World Beer Cup 2008 Double IPA Gold Medal and Gold Medal Double IPA GABF 2008!

Had on tap at SDBC. Pours a bright rust color with a huge citrus hops nose. The flavor is in your face hoppiness, with lots of pine and sharp citrus notes. The finish is a knock out punch of hops that doesn’t leave your pallet for about a half and hour! This is a winner, hands down!

On tap at San Diego Brewing Company. I should start off by saying I am not a fan of IPA’s, which my rating most likely reflects, and this does not mean this beer is of lower quality. Poured a nice golden orange color with very little head. Smelled very strongly of hops, citrus, juniper and flowers. Has a very potent kick of hops on the tongue, with definite notes of citrus and grapefruit. The hops linger on your tongue long after you swallow. The mouthfeel was somewhat sticky, almost like nectar. Very bitter pine-hop finish. It’s definitely a great beer for those who enjoy very hoppy beer, but I’m not a big fan.

On tap at Downtown Johnny Brown’s in SD, CA--Shiny ruby copper body with a soapy minuscule head. bitter, sweet hoppy floral bouquet nose. Sweet, tropical candy flavor. Full, satisfying mouthfeel. Great finish. Awesome beer!

On tap @ San Diego Brew Co. This beer is everything an IPA should be and more! Poured a clear, deep golden orange with a wispy off white head. Amazing nose of floral and citrus hops, lightly sticky on the palate. An awesome IPA!

On tap @ San Diego Brewing brewpub. Pours clear deep gold with lasting ring of white foam. The aroma is grapefruit hops mixed with mildly caramelized malts creating a sweet citrus grapefruit aroma. The taste begins with a quick hit of rich malt sweetness. A moment later grapefruit hop flavor and bitterness takes control with the aid of pine hop bitterness as the finish draws near.

Draft - Amber in color with a great citrus nose. Love the malt backbone that supports the perfect amount of hops. Excellent example of the style.

Draft, Amber beer with a nice off-white head. Fruity (tropical/summer) with a bit of citrus. Malty, fruity - slight grapefruit flavor with some backing strange plastic notes. Low bitterness. Lingering citrus and malt.

Copper color, forthy tan head, with big lace. Big hoppy aroma, fresh floral and citurs, a touch piney. Avg pal. Very 1 dimmensional bitter flavor, boring.
