Commercial Description:
This IPA (India Pale Ale) is by far our hoppiest brew. At 8.3% alcohol, this triple dry-hopped ale is full bodied and has an aggressive hop flavor with distinct citrus undertones. This beer is perfect for all you hop heads out there! (You know who you are!) <br />Winner of World Beer Cup 2008 Double IPA Gold Medal and Gold Medal Double IPA GABF 2008!

Sampled @ GABF 2007. An excellent IPA. Crisp, floral, grape fruit, citrus flavors and aromas.

This had a huge aroma of pine and citrus hops. Pours a gold orange. Flavor was nicely hopped. Straight up bitter citrus with a little light fruity malt as a balance. Finishes very dry and bitter. This was also a pretty heavy brew.

On tap at SDBC. Clear golden amber with creamy white head. Pine with slight citrus aroma. Thick smooth palate. Good pine and orange taste with a big bitter bite to the finish.

Cask @ Linkery. Tasty IPA. Aroma is light and fresh lightly hoppy. Pours amber w/ a stable 1 finger tan head. The taste is light and smooth with a decent hop punch. Pretty good brew.

Cask @ Linkery. Yum. Easily the best beer that SDBC has produced. Nice to see the upswing in creativity. It’s exactly what you would expect from a San Diego IPA. Fresh smelling, palate crushing, smooth finishing. I hope this goes into regular rotation.

On tap at the County Fair festival. Wonderful citrus aromas with the nice pine accents. Smooth on the palate and flavors of balanced hop bitterness with good full finish. Good SD IPA once again.

Draught. Clear orange-brown body with a soapy medium sized white head. The aroma is superbly fresh - really orangey with citrus skin resin. Slightly sweet, buttery flavour up front. The middle is reasonably sharp and piney with tangerine and melon fruit flavours. Somewhat one-dimensonal.
Pint at Hamilton’s in San Diego on March 25, 2007.

Draft at brewery. Lots of hoppy fruits. Apricot, mango, citrus. Flavors were also hoppy with a nice malty back. Bitter finish is quite nice.
