Tap at SDBC. Pale amber beer with a thin light white head. Wow... massively bright hoppy aroma. Orange peel, tangerine and a mango fruitiness along with lots of bright herbal resinousness. Fresh dry-hopped aroma but without any grassiness at all. Incredibly juicy sticky hoppy flavour wiith a bright pine/citrus flavour, soft light pale malts make up the soft backing notes, but this is all about the hops. Juicy, well-balanced and very tasty.

On tap poured a hazy amber with a small ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, orange, light earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of sweet carmel, orange and light pine with a smooth moderatly bitter finish.

GABF 2009. Pours clear dark yellow with a small, rocky white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, bread, grain, meal), heavy hop (flowers, pine, resin, citrus), heavy yeast (dough, sweat, soap) with notes of apple, pear, peach, pineapple, and ginger. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

Cask @ Linkery. Tasty IPA. Aroma is light and fresh lightly hoppy. Pours amber w/ a stable 1 finger tan head. The taste is light and smooth with a decent hop punch. Pretty good brew.

Draft, Amber beer with a nice off-white head. Fruity (tropical/summer) with a bit of citrus. Malty, fruity - slight grapefruit flavor with some backing strange plastic notes. Low bitterness. Lingering citrus and malt.

On draught at Callahan’s in San Diego. This beer is a clear orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes slowly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and citrus primarily, and a touch of malt underneath. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with a citrusy hops flavor with light malt and pine undertones. The finish is hoppy with a lingering citrus and sweet fruit finish. Pretty good overall.

GABF 2009, day 3: Caramelly and bready malts were complemented by rich and bright hops. It had it all ... citrus, grass, grapefruit and pine. And great balance, too. Surprisingly delicious.
