Terrific hop aromas and grapefruit flavors throughout. Was a big Pure Hoppiness fan and tried this side by side with the Alpine and the Hopnotic was much more flavorful and hoppy! Great addition to the San Diego Brewing Co. house brews. jimbowood (983), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Tap at SDBC. Pale amber beer with a thin light white head. Wow... massively bright hoppy aroma. Orange peel, tangerine and a mango fruitiness along with lots of bright herbal resinousness. Fresh dry-hopped aroma but without any grassiness at all. Incredibly juicy sticky hoppy flavour wiith a bright pine/citrus flavour, soft light pale malts make up the soft backing notes, but this is all about the hops. Juicy, well-balanced and very tasty.
