Jan 12, 2009 Draft. Mahogony beer with a dark cream colored head. Light spice aroma with some malt. Christmas spice (mostly cinnamon) flavor with some malt and backing light berry. Medium body. Cinnamon and malt lingers with again a bit of berry fruitiness.

Jan 2, 2008 Sampler at the brewpub. A rich, red-brown colour with a tan head. Dark fruit aroma. Sweet, malty flavours, with notes of chocolate, and the alcohol evident. Very smooth on the palate. This is a good winter seasonal, but after flying in from somewhere with a lot of snow to mild California, it seemed out of place!

Dec 17, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy dark mahogany, small head. Vague yellow plum aroma. Sweet and malty with medium to full body. Drying salty finish, Warming, but a bit neutral.

Dec 12, 2005 tap at the pub. Pours a dark brown with a large light brown head. Aroma of malt and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is slightly sweet and a bit cloying. Not much in terms of hop undertones. It is somehat similar to the Gripman’s Porter.
