8/26/2007: San Juan Ale House Amber Ale is amber in color and slightly hazy. The creamy/foamy crown is off-white in color, long-lasting, and supplies dense lacing effects. There isn’t much in the aroma except a slight butter-caramel maltiness. The flavor has some butterscotch and citrus qualities as well as a hint of toasted malt in the finish. This beer is medium-light to medium in body and quite smooth. It is an average amber ale.

4 oz draught sample (3.7% Alc. By Wt, #1050, OG 1.050, Brewed 8/01/2007) at the Front Street Ale House in Friday Harbor, Washington. Rating #1 for this beer...
