8/26/2007: San Juan Raging Main Ale pours a mostly clear dark amber color with a red/ruby hue. It has a lasting, dense crown that is dark beige/tan and creates cloud-like lacing on the glass. Caramel and a hint of alcohol tickle the nose. Flavor of apple, wood, some alcohol, and English/Black Walnut? (especially when warmer) create an interesting, dry and aged flavor. This medium-bodied beer is very smooth and mellow on the palate.

4 oz draught sample (5.8% Alc By Wt, #1045, OG 1.075, Brewed 7/20/2007) at the Front Street Ale House in Friday Harbor, Washington. Rating #1 for this beer...
