Poured from bottle dark, almost black with a large tan head. Aroma is of sweet malt, toasted bread, and a slight metallic note. Flavor is big on caramel, sweet malt, soft roasted grain, molasses and maybe a little raisin. Palate is mildly sweet and seems thick at first but thins out quite a bit with little noticible carbonation acidity. Overall, enjoyable and easy to drink yet not a lot of depth to the flavor.

Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, with the taste being the same. It is crisp, a little sweet and easy to drink. It left a roasted malt taste in my mouth.

Holy crap! from a macro! lots of sweet caramel, roasty malt- tastes like a porter only much smoother. I could drink 10 of these. Bottle from Knightly Spirits, Orlando, Flordia.

( 355ml bottle thanks to cavie) Pours very dark brown, head fades like soda, oily bubbles around the rim. Nose of light corn and grains, taste is light creamy chocolate, with a smooth finish. Nothing offends here, I liked it.

Hazy, dark brown appearance with a large, fast fading beige head and little lacing. Muted aroma of brown sugar and caramel. Sweet, malty taste; caramel is still there, some spicyness, some molassas, passively hopped. Palate is a little on the thin side, but still tasty. Sweet, short lived finish.

30th July 2008. Bottle from the Philippines. Dark reddish black beer. Very mild dark lager, smooth malt - a little creamy. Subtle chocolate. No bitterness.Semi dry slightly chocolate finish. A sour fruit tone also subtle in the finish.

Bottle. Not good, the aroma is okay, the colour looks good, but the predominate flavour is a sort of sweet toasted rice. Overly sweet, and no balance at all.

Reviewed 7/25/2009 (bottle): Pours a pretty dark reddish color body, with a huge tan colored head, lasting. Very strong malty aroma, some nuttiness, and lots of earthiness. Some funkiness too, like ripe bananas. Somewhat watery mouthfeel, somewhat creamy too. Malty earthy aftertaste. Some bananas in the taste. Some roasted notes. Not too shabby. Carbonated, but not harsh. A little sweet after a while.
