Beer #27 at GTMW ’09. The server told me this was a Pomegranate hard lemonade. But the program only shows the regular brew. Well, after this many beers, I start hearing a lot of things. Certainly smells like a radler, lot of lemon flavor. But plenty of malts. Taste mostly lemony, but no sourness, seems to be balanced by malts. Very cloudy yellow in appearance. Smell is very lemony. Does go down nicely and helps wash down my chicken sandwich and fried cheese curds.

12 oz bottle from Three Cellars (Franklin, WI). Clearing out the last of the brews from our last trip. Pours a hazy straw yellow, almost like motts applesauce, well carbonated with a bright white head that dies to near nonexistent levels quickly. Aromas are lemon tartness, flaked wheat, and a touch of must. Initial is sweeter than the aroma let on, country time lemonade, honey sweetness, a bit of wheat, largely dominated by residual sugar, much more minor role on tartness in the end. Mediocre lemonade. Dissappointing, would have liked more sour.

Yellow, substantial white head. Tastes like fizzy lemonade, with little to no evidence of beer’s involvement. It’s lemonade, and it gets you buzzed. Nothing wrong with that.

Cloudy yellow pour, thin but lacy white head. Aroma of lemondrop candy, which I like. Flavor is all lemonade, very little beer. The lemonade is good. The beer, insofar as it can be tasted, is a bit husky towards the finish. Overally cloying palate. Somewhat better than the comparable Leinie’s product.

Courtesy of Skyview. Slightly cloudy yellow color with no head. Strong, tart lemon aroma. Plenty of lemon flavor. Not very tart. A sweet but light malt backbone. Some mixture of flavors give almost a green pepper bite. Not as horrific as I would have expected.

12 ounce bottle brought to me from Wisconsin by a friend. Pours a hazy yellow color with a thin head. Poor head retention and no lacing. Taste is sweet sugary lemons with a bit of an earthy bite. Taste is tart lemons with a fairly high level of sweetness and some bready notes. Medium bodied with high carbonation.

12 oz. bottle shared by shigadeyo. Pours a hazy light brown with a small off white head like dirty lemon juice. The aroma was super sweet lemon citrus much like opening a box of lemonheads. This was lemonheads in a bottle: sweet sugary alcoholic candy. I don*t think this can really be called beer.

A off yellow with a weird head. Taste lemony and has a beer after taste. Not much else. Was pretty refreshing with a nice after taste. Wouldn’t really say it was anything special but not really that bad.
