DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 30, 2009 Bomber from Craft called Lilia’s Heifer-Weizen. Pours hazy light gold with white head. Nose is hopcitrus, pale malt, peppery spice. Tastes spicy yeasty, clovey, hopcitric, with pale malt and a fairly smooth finish. JPDIPSO (4862), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Nov 3, 2002 Hazy, bubbly, golden color. Smallish cream colored head. Oak/woody aroma. Flavor grows on you as you drink and this one warms. Typically I perfer my weisses cold, this one seems to have better flavors with the the temperatures tempered. Initailly very dry and oaky. Decent wheat malt and malt characters as it warms. Slight oxidization. Somewhat typical for beers sold in growlers. From the sound of this brewery, they should be brewing biere de gardes and saisons, but the geographics dictate brewing more traditional brews. At $5 a growler, I think I’ll try there other brews as well.
