Sep 1, 2008 Bottles from bockyhorsey and CaptainCougar I think. Pour was dark black, decent initial dark tannish colored head, mediocre lacing. The aroma was chocolate, dark fruits, some long chain alcohol/fusel notes. The flavor followed, milky chocolate, vinous notes, all accented by a lively carbonation that made this beer pretty decent. Roast was quite light as was the hopping. Decent stuff, but pretty straight forward. Thanks, Bill and Tom!

Jul 25, 2008 dark brown with not much head.nice aroma of chocolate milk,brown sugar,and molasses.flavor is much of the same with some smoke and roasted malt thrown in.very nice indeed.

Jul 18, 2008 Huge thanks to I think Gililard, but thank you who ever! Lightly oxidized aroma followed by coffee, roast malt, chocolate and cocoa. The body is dark brown with a thin brown head. Sweet pumpernickel/brown bread flavors in the fore. A touch boozy. Chocolate, molasses, and bitter roast notes in the finish.

Dark brown black with a thin watery beige tan head and no lacing. Smell is Chinese food and sweet malt - huge soy sauce notes in there. Flavor is overly sweet and malty. Palate is nearly creamy but falls short. Overall, just a bit too sweet for me but not horrible.

Pours a nice dark black with small short lived light tan head. Smell is dark fruit, light roastiness and a good amount of soy sauce and molasses. Taste is bitter dark fruit with some ashiness and soy. Lingering burnt flavor. Medium to thin body with medium carbonation and a tiny hint of alcohol in the aftertaste. Decent.
