Bottle donated to the cause by eaglefan538...and it’s good that he did because I seemed to enjoy this much more than he did. Pour was dark with thick foamy head. A wonderful roasty/chocolate aroma. The flavor contained rich roasted malts with some sweet boozy chocolate. Well balanced and no off flavors. I thought this was quite delicious.

Very dark ruby red with a one finger tan head that goes away quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice with some raisons and dark fruits. Taste is pretty heavy on the licorice with brown sugar, roasted malts, alcohol, dark chocolate and notes of coffee. Pretty full bodied for a porter, goes down fairly smooth too. Moderate warming effects, overall not too shabby.

12 oz. bottle shared by shigadeyo. Pours a dark brown/black with a medium sized beige head. The aroma moderately sweet malt, dark fruits and berries, chocolate, and caramel. The flavor is more roasted than the nose, mild dark fruits, caramel, some coffee toward the finish. Finish is on the dry side and some bitterness. Medium bodied.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted malty and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium dark chocolate bittersweet flavor with medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex beer.
