Bottled. A hazy dark brown beer with a huge rocky brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of bitter chocolate and coffee, leading to a bitter dessert chocolaty finish. Nice.

Thanks to CaptainCougar for the bottle. Poured dark brown (opaque in glass) with a huge (H.U.G.E.) head. Good retention and fair lacing. Aroma of big coffee and roasted malt. Taste was sweet with lots of roasted coffee (yum). I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for any sweet coffee stout, and I’ll damn well grade accordingly.

Poured black with a huge tan creamy head. It took awhile to pour this. Aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee. Taste was much of the same. Very smooth roasted coffee brew. This was a good one.

Thanks to Tom for this rare bottle. Pours dark black with a two-finger tan head that stayed. Aromas of coffee and milk chocolate. Medium body with smooth, creamy carbonation. Flavor is coffee and bitter milk chocolate. It’s bitter, but can’t tell whether it’s coffee bitter or hop bitter. Finishes coffee and chocolate. Maybe it’s more dark chocolate than milk. Makes me want more.

Pours an opaque black with a thin, spotty-lacing dark tan head. Has a rich roasty coffee and bittersweet dark chocolate nose with some oats. Body is a little thin and perhaps overcarbonated, but has nice coffee flavor, light caramel sweetness and earthy roasted malts with a hint of coffee tartness toward a nice, lingering, smooth dark chocolate finish without any trace of alcohol. A pretty enjoyable lightly sweet coffee stout.

Bottle. A black beer with a big beige head. The aroma and taste is roasted and of chocolate and coffee and tar. Medium to full body with a dry roasted finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours black and opaque with a beige head. Burned, coffeish aroma. Medium body with burned coffee notes and some hints of dark, bitter chocolate. The finish is dry but not overly bitter. Quite a lively carbonation that could indicate a slight infection, but nothing that spoils the beer. 171107
