JPDIPSO (4863), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 9, 2008 Tap at State Fair. Amber color with a moderate off-white head. Grainy aromas with hints of caramel and toast. Grainy in flavor as well. SOme multi-grain bread and earthy undertones. An amber with a bit more depth and presence. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Sep 16, 2008 On Tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest. I’m pretty sure it was called One Planet Ale on the handle. Clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma of grains, rye, wheat, barley and sweet malt. Heavy taste of grains with some caramel and sweet malt and mild hops to balance it out though it’s tilted to the malty side. Decent effort from Sand Creek. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Aug 10, 2008 Sampled on draught at the GTMW ’08, the booklet called this One Planet Ale but the tap marker called it Ode Pladet Ale. What ever it is called, it pours a clear golden amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of multi-grain malts, a touch of honey, some toffee and caramel. Taste is very malty with very little hop presence with flavors of caramel, toffee, some salt water taffy, and a touch of marshmallow. Finish is semi-sweet and just as malty as its flavor.
