Dec 1, 2009 i guess i have taken too long to get around to this bottle because i can’t remeber which trade it came from! thanks though! pours a thin black with a small beige head that fades quickly with some spotting. aroma is sweet licorice, milk chocolate, cacoa, and a woody, earthy background. taste is roasty, sweet, some mollases, some bitter licorice and a hint of red wine in the finish. nice smooth palate, goes down quick!

Sep 24, 2009 Bottled@Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very dark ambey brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is nutty, some chocolate, wooden and mildly roasted malty notes. Flavour is sour wood, some liquorice, roasted malts and mild nuttyness. Finishes quite bitter and also shows some chocolaty notes in the finish.

Sep 11, 2009 12oz bottle. Opaque black with a thin but thick beige-tan head. Nice roasty chocolate aroma. Full of flavor yet very easy drinking. Some light sandy hops balances out the sugary sweet chocolate richness. Thin watery finish with a some mild bitter cocoa. Pleasantly soft on the palate. A pretty good beer certainly, perfect session stout.

Aug 16, 2009 Dark pour with a nice off white head. Good lacing around the glass. Smell of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is smooth of coffee and dark chocolate. Very enjoyable.

Aug 9, 2009 Tasted 09/09/09. 12oz bottle. Pitch hue with a web and thick ring of khaki head. Aromas of Dark chocolate and burnt toast. Medium bodied with moderate effervescence. Bit tangy and bitter in the middle, but the finish is so smooth with a sticky cloying malt sweetness. Modest tingling effervescence. Slight coffee astringency. Smooth and right on style, but not quite enough body.

Jul 25, 2009 A handsome dark pour, but the palate is a little light compared to other oatmeal stouts. Aroma is of roasted chocolate. Flavor is of roasted malt and chocolate with a slight sour character in the finish. It’s pretty good, but a little watery -- there are better oatmeal stouts out there.

May 31, 2009 Pours dark brown with a very thin tan head. Sort of a light chocolate roasted aroma. The body was a little thin though. Roasted malt and chocolate in the flavor. Okay brew.
